Mitchell / Gilleon recovered $1,000,000 for a driver who was injured when a tow truck slammed into the rear-end of his car. Mitchell / Gilleon Attorney Joseph Howell was retained by a Qualcomm employee who suffered a broken neck in an automobile accident which the police initially found to be his fault. Howell's client was not able to speak with the police at the scene because he was literally pronounced dead by the paramedics. However, the emergency room doctors were able to revive him, at which point he began a long course of medical treatment that cost more than $750,000.

Although the police blamed Mitchell / Gilleon's client, Attorney Howell was able to locate a witness who had never talked to the police. This witness located by Mitchell / Gilleon's investigation provided a statement about how the accident happened that ultimately convinced the tow truck driver's insurance company to pay $1,000,000 to settle the case. Then, Mitchell / Gilleon convinced the medical providers to reduce their bills from $750,000 to less than $100,000, with the client keeping the difference.
